Performance Analysis of Thermal Camera Calibration Patterns

Abstract


Thermal cameras is transforming heat of objects to image. The thermal image must necessarily calibrated for high density photogrametric application. Camera parameters are mathematically determined by camera calibration methods. In this study, chessboard pattern, which is one of many pattern for camera calibration and most commonly used pattern, was used to calibrate thermal camera. As a result of studies was observed that relationship between the calibration results and dimensions of the pattern. Great dimensional calibration pattern results were found to be more accurate than small dimensional calibration pattern.
